A little message that keeps moving.
Make a short, looping pixel-font banner for a personal project, a small display, or a retro-style graphic. Start with a brief message, choose a canvas, and watch the loop. Every letter is drawn on a fixed 5-by-7 grid, so the text stays aligned to whole pixels.
Three steps to a clean GIF
- Choose the pixel dimensions your project actually needs. A 64 × 32 panel has 64 columns and 32 rows.
- Use a short message and a strong contrast between text and background. Slow the scroll if the message is hard to follow.
- Download the animated GIF, or save the currently displayed frame as PNG.
Know what you are exporting
Exports use the selected native dimensions, even though the on-screen preview is enlarged. The GIF loops indefinitely and uses a fixed 256-color RGB332 palette, so exported colors may differ slightly from the preview. Long messages use larger scroll steps to keep the animation at 180 frames or fewer. This is a file maker, not a connection to an LED controller.
Does this work on a physical LED panel?
It produces standard GIF and PNG files. Your controller or playback software must support the chosen format and dimensions. Check the controller instructions; this tool does not send files to hardware.
Can I use lowercase or emojis?
This version uses an original uppercase pixel font. Lowercase letters are converted to uppercase. Unsupported characters produce a validation message instead of silently disappearing.
